As I participated yesterday with many others in remembering 9/11 ten years later, I recall being on a plane early that morning flying from Oklahoma City to Nashville.  I had taken a 5:30am flight to St. Louis, and then connected from St. Louis to Nashville.

When I arrived in Nashville a little after 9:00am the second plane had already hit the Twin Towers.  As all of you know, the rest of the day was very much a daze.  I spent a majority of my time driving back to Oklahoma while glued to the radio for updates on the attacks.   Yet despite the tragedy of this fateful day, and its lasting effect on the world we live in, God is still good and remains the same yesterday and today.

He was with us then, and is with us now.  We can remain ever hopeful of His continued presence all the days of our lives.  He gives us what we need, when we need it, to make it through each and every circumstance, for the purpose of giving Him glory and honor.  He is never far away, both in times of war and times of peace.  Amen.

Phil. 4:4, "Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I will say, rejoice!"
