I visited with a client recently struggling with an incurable disease, pending bankruptcy and divorce, not to mention he is also the parent of a young girl.  How does someone in a position like this have peace and joy?  The storms of life are so daunting, so real, so large.  How do we trust a God we can't see, over a life we can see, feel and experience, and often so painfully?

Christ says in John 16:33, "..In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world".  Peace and joy come not from the world, but from the One that has overcome the world.  As long was we are on this earth we can pretty much guarantee trials and tribulations, however our hope is not on things below, but things above.

It's kind of like Friday's.  When things go bad on Friday's, people seem to have an easier time adjusting, because they know the weekend is upon them.  Life is for but a moment, but eternal life is forever.  Take heart, it is Friday.

Regardless of our circumstances, we are never alone.  God promises to never leave us.  He will also give us an amazing opportunity to touch the lives of others as our circumstances fails to determine our vision.
