This morning I had the wonderful opportunity to go for a run with my son Christian before church.  He is at that great age where we can share hobbies together.  We are currently training for a half marathon in April.

I love spending time with Christian, he is a wonderful boy.  One of the things I love best about my son is his love for relationships. When we run Christian loves to talk.  During our run I will get a thousand questions ranging from "who was my favorite football team growing up", to "what was my favorite dessert when I was a kid", even "what is the farthest you have ever run".  I don't count the many questions and comments Christian has for me each day, but I am betting it is well over 100.  I recognized this morning through the many questions, that Christian loves people, he loves to communicate with them, he loves to share activities with them, basically he is happiest when his life is connected with others.

Christian did not get this trait from his mother or father (however there are some similarities).  He was designed this way by His creator, who happens to share the same trait.  God created people for a relationship.  He loves communicating with them, sharing activities with them, and is basically happiest when His life is connected with them (and so are we).  God did not created us for anything else but to connect with Him, and we will not know total peace and happiness until we make this connection.
