On the radio today the questioned was asked, "What would you do today if you knew tomorrow you would die"?  As we read in John 13, one of Christ last acts the day before His crucifixion was to wash the disciples feet.  An act of both humility and sacrifice.  I will admit that this didn't make my last day "to do" list.

Some time ago I felt a strong desire to teach my family the same lesson on humility.  I also recognized that it starts with me.  So late one Sunday night, at our kitchen table, I washed the feet of my wife, my 14 year old daughter, and my 11 year old son, hoping that the power of humility and sacrifice would touch them, as it had me.  I am thankful for what God did in me and in my family that night.

As we celebrate this wonderful Easter weekend, my focus is on the Man, not the act.  I grow evermore in strength and peace as I continue to offer myself (talents, gifts, energy, money, etc.) to Him in humility and sacrifice, expecting nothing in return but His presence in my life.

Happy Easter and God Bless All
