Easy does it

I have often heard it say that to be a good golfer you must learn to swing easy and not force it.  As a self described "hack" I can not validate nor deny this advice only use it for the purpose of an illustration.  In life, I believe God desires we swing easy.  Our effort is very often not needed.  God desires all expectation, effort and ultimate results be a product of Him not us.  You see "it is God that words in us, both to will and to do of His good pleasure".

I will admit to often getting in His way.  I have this false believe in myself that I can control the outcome of my life and can fix most problems (or those of others).  But in all reality anything good coming out of me is not of myself but is of God.  I am but a "filthy rag" all good is His.  This principle and concept seems very invisible in a world focused on self praise and admiration.  Our society has a hard time with the concept of strength through reliance and submission on One greater.  But the only sustainable strength and peace comes from the only One that can sustain it, the LORD.

The truth is...God desires, demands and expects our surrender day in and day out.  This is to be evident during the good times and the bad.  Imagine what a life would be like if every aspect of our day was surrendered (will, emotions, time, etc.) to Him.  What could He accomplish in you?  "God answers our prayers for spiritual blessings with this one requirement: the willingness to surrender yourself absolutely into His hands".

What will He do with a "surrendered" you today?
