Prov.  3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight".  Sometimes just acknowledging God and His presence verbally is enough to move my emotions in the right direction.  Recently in the midst of my own crisis I would repeat the phrase, "God is good, All the time".  This isn't to say I always felt that way, but I recognized this to be true in my head and found that my heart (emotions) would eventually follow.  Our mouth can often be the rudder that steers the ship of our emotions through rough seas (both for the good or bad).
