Fear

Fear is a real part of life.  I recall not long ago fearing for the life of my wife, and the possibility of losing the one I love.  Fear has a way of crippling us.  It breaks us down to our deepest emotions, and often puts us in a place of total reaction to our feelings.  We can react by lashing out in an effort to control life and situations, or by turning numb, unable to move, function or fight.

Fear can be a product of your relationships, life expectations, past failures, future concerns, of pain, loss or even success.  Fear comes in all shapes and sizes, but it is not of God.  Yes it is an emotion, but it is also one that the Bible tells us to avoid and conquer.

Isaiah 12:2 says, "Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid;  For the Lord God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation."

We can choose not to be afraid.  To put our trust and the control of our life on the one true God, is to know Him and the ultimate outcome.  Salvation is promised to all who believe and trust in Christ.  All that we fear, is temporary and limited, in comparison to eternity.  God provides for us the power and opportunity to overcome our fears.  What an advantage to believers living in the world today.

When struggling with my own fears, I make it a point to follow what I know, not what I feel.  My feelings our temporary and often misleading.  To follow God's promises, over my feelings, is to allow my trust and faith to be rooted in the promises of God's Word.  I have found a wonderful peace and strength in doing what I know, not what I always feel.  And as an encouragement to you, my feelings very often follow my actions.

JOY MCBRIDE1. God desires to eseprxs Himself through man for His purposes. 2. Body Physical , Soul Mental , Spirit Contact and recieve God Himself. We were made to contain Gods Spirit. 3. Sin deadened mans spirit , made him an enemy of God in his own soul and transmuted his body into sinful fleash damaging all three parts of man alienating him from God therefore he could'nt recieve God. 4. God became a life-giving Spirit (Christ) so that He could despense Himself into mans spirit. 5. Repent of your sins and accept Christ as your Lord and Savior. 6 .Regeneration + Transformation + Glorification = God's Full Salvation. It is wonderful to finally understand how things really work. I have never had such an indepth study of the Bible. When you can read and understand what you are reading, it just makes you want to know more and more.I now understand how my life is supposed to play out for His purpose. I dont think it matters what you do in life as long as you do it with God in mind.Everything we do should glorify Him, No matter if you are a doctor or a man on the back of a trash truck.I kind of always thought of Him as being way off in Heaven, not so near as I understand Him to be now.The knowledge of that makes me want to do and be better in general. AWESOME!!!
