Last night I spent time with a two clients, one 24 and the other 42, both grieving the divorce of their parents and its effect on their lives years later.  We all have past issues located in our present.  Whether you are the kind of person that ignores it and stuffs it down, or a person that lives with it everyday through your emotions, be it anger, hurt or guilt, the past continues to occupy your life.

I believe we have a choice in how we live each and every day, and in the priority we give yesterday.  We must actively reach for the things of promise and opportunity, and be equally diligent in forgetting what has past.  Don't miss that both actions take initiative and focus, there is no "easy button" in life.

Philippians 3:13-14, "Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
