Mission Impossible

When God calls us to be a part of His plan, expect the impossible.  Expect His calling to be both challenging and difficult.  Prepare yourself to feel defeated and incapable.  The task will most likely be beyond our comprehension and ability, and one that requires and insist on sacrifice and trust in the One who called us.

Moses experienced this calling, along with David, Paul, and even Christ Himself experienced a calling beyond His human ability.  Charles Swindoll quoted in his book, Great Days with the Great Lives, "In God's calling, He has a plan; but He never expects you to carry out that plan.  He's going to pull it off.  He simply wants you to be the instrument of action.  After all, it is His reputation that's at stake, not yours.  All He asks is that you give yourself to Him as a tool He can pick up and use.  That's all."

As Christians, our ultimate plan is to recognize God's plan and calling on our lives, and then to be obedient.  It is not ours to question how or why, but to simply respond.  What amazing landscapes might we see created when we allow God to use us to paint them.
