Ephesians 5:20-“always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord….”

Can you give thanks in "all things"?  If today you are reading these words in a safe, warm, comfortable place, with healthy loved ones, the bills paid and strong relationships, being thankful is most likely a fairly easy task.

But what if tomorrow you lost: a loved one?  Or the ability to see?  Or your job?  Or you found out you had breast cancer?  Could you still be thankful?

Being thankful is an act of obedience.  It is not about the condition of our lives, or about emotions, it is about recognizing God's place over ours.  Thankfulness to God, is about our complete and totally, unconditional love and commitment, to our God regardless of our situation or condition.

Being thankful is ultimately about trust and obedience to our God, and this is how we show our love.
