The Fan

My wife has a very real misconception of my life before I met her.  She believes in high school I was the best athlete, the most popular guy, and that all the girls wanted to date me.  Oh that this was true.  But the reality was, I was just like everyone else;  insecure, always wanting more friends, and never popular, nor talented enough.  Today Heather continues to see nothing but good when she sees me.  I can do no wrong in her eyes (at least that is how she makes me feel)....and I love it.   I wish everyone had a fan in their life like Heather.

I think we need someone that believes so much in our potential, that the problem areas in our lives just disappear.  I am not perfect, but to have someone that sees me as better than I am or could ever be, gives me the confidence and belief to do anything.  What a wonderful feeling.  I am grateful for a God that sees more in me than I see in myself.  God is our biggest fan.  There is nothing you can say, do, or think, that would change the way He sees you and me.  We can do nothing wrong, because His Son has done everything right, and this is the image God sees in His people.
